Site Changes

Category : Work, Life, etc.

If you can bear with me, I am trying to find a theme for my blog that I like, so you may notice that it looks different everytime you visit the site. Please be patient, and I will hopefully settle on one soon.

A Very Frustrating and Sad Day

Category : Work, Life, etc.

Today is my official Chantix quit smoking date. I have been smoking for a long time, and now is the time for me to quit. This time I have a good group of people around me for support, but the one person I consider a good friend and mentor is leaving town. Pastor Burt saved my life, and he has been a good friend and mentor to me over the past year, and I will miss his guidance and wit as he takes a job as senior Pastor of a church in the Kansas City area. I do however look forward to a Kansas City trip once a month to meet with him and enjoy some KC BBQ. He however does not know this, and I am hoping he is still open to our monthly meetings.

I will be honest with all of you, in my journey to quit smoking, and in the spirit of honesty, I did slip up once today, but not out of the need for one, but out of habit, when I realized I had lit up after a couple of puffs, I put the cigarette out, and didn’t need anymore.
