More Problems

Category : Work, Life, etc.

So I have been having issues getting to my blog website from home. I reset the router, changed the MTU settings, and it worked for a day, that was no good, I hope I finally got it going, I spoofed the MAC address of the router, and it gave me a new IP address, so hopefully it will let me in from here on out, and I can regularly start publishing again.

Iphone 2.0 Software Blunder

Category : Web/Tech

So I unoficially upgraded my iphone to the leaked 2.0 software and it was working great, a couple bugs, but overall it was working great. Then I read a post on lifehacker that said that was not the version for the original iphone, and that the check for updates would think it was updated. I downloaded the official update, installed it and couldn’t get my voicemail and was having phone problems in general. I had to submit a voicemail password reset and now my voicemail works fine, but I did miss a couple of very important calls. I do love the app store, and there are some great apps out there, AOL Radio is a killer app, but it doesn’t really work on the edge network, and since I don’t have 3G here in Omaha, I think I will wait to get the new iphone until they get the 3G rolled out, but I really would like the GPS functionality, but I think I could wait. Anyway, I just thought I would share my 2.0 blunder experience, but now everything seems to be working fine. My next adventure…signing up for MobileMe.
