Well I was playing around with WGA and I found a simple way to disable it (without an annoying prompt tell you to enable the plugin in IE).
Just paste this into the address-bar after loading Windows Update:
javascript:void(window.g_sDisableWGACheck=’all’)
Click Go, then click Custom. No need to delete any files.
